Rick Perry’s Day Of Prayer: A Calculated Political Move?

Joel Osteen and Dr. Ed Young hail from the Lone Star State, so there is nothing inappropriate about this within Texas. Outside of Texas, though, this may seem a bit odd. Unless, of course, you are running for the GOP nomination and you want to make a big splash with evangelical voters in Iowa.
