Mass. On Back Burner As Romney’s Hub HQ Quiet

With all eyes on Ohio’s primary today, it’s no wonder some Bay Staters are feeling jilted at the lack of Super Tuesday hoopla here at home — even at Mitt Romney’s national headquarters.

The Romney bunker on Commercial Street in the North End was eerily quiet yesterday, with the media asked to come back later.

With staffers dispatched to battleground states instead, campaign workers simply said there was “nothing going on.”

Added Republican strategist Ford O’Connell: “There are certain states that know they play a major role in the presidential race — Massachusetts just isn’t one of them.”
