The Right Angle In Nevada

There may not be a more pivotal race in 2010 than the battle for U.S. Senator from the Silver State.

Democrat Harry Reid represents all that is wrong with Washington.  Reid’s pork barreling, Obamacare engineering, cap-and-trade touting, over taxing mentality is leading to the demise of this great nation.

Reid is so toxic that his own son, Rory, the Nevada Democratic gubernatorial nominee, has chosen to drop his father’s infamous last name from his own campaign materials.

It is time for a shakeup in Washington, and that change begins in Nevada with the all-important defeat of Public Enemy #1, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Reid’s opponent, Sharron Angle, a former educator, understands the needs of Silver State voters, who are faced with highest unemployment rate in the nation, and cannot afford additional burdens placed on them by the government.

To say that Angle is against taxation would be an understatement.  She has signed ATR’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge, and as a Nevada state legislator Angle voted against “more than one hundred attempts to increase taxes and fees” in the Silver State.

In 2003, Angle used her own money to challenge then-Republican Governor Guinn’s legislation that would eliminate the need for a two-thirds vote in the Nevada legislature to raise taxes. The case eventually went before the U.S. Supreme Court and Angle won, saving Nevadans from an $836 million tax increase. For her efforts, Angle later received the Claremont Institute Ronald Reagan Freedom Medallion for Courageous Client.

Through fiscal responsibility, sound energy policy, border security and education reform, Angle believes that Nevada can be prosperous once again.  Sharron Angle is a true conservative, and she needs your help in Nevada.
