Here’s a (very) brief run-down of the lesser-known primary races going on tomorrow.
Senate — Two Democrats are vying for the chance to get vote-spanked by Republican Governor John Hoeven.
Governor — Five Republicans are in a tight and largely-overlooked primary battle to take on Democrat Scott Heidepriem.
Congress, at-large — 5 term GOP Congressman Danny Rehberg has two primary opponents seeking the right to run in this safe general election seat.
State House and Senate — Challengers abound on the GOP side, and overall candidate numbers are through the roof. The hope is that the purging of so-called “liberal Republicans” (this is Montana, after all) in the primaries doesn’t go so far as to allow Democrats to gain control of the Senate and give the Democratic Governor free reign for a year.
Governor — Both the Democratic and Republican primaries are literally free-for-alls.  High undecided numbers and 11 total candidates between the two sides means we have absolutely no clue what the general election is going to look like.
