Nancy Pelosi Unlikely To Hit Back At Massachusetts Democrats

U.S. representatives Seth Moulton and Stephen F. Lynch are unlikely to lose committee seats in retaliation for publicly backing the challenger to longtime House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi because there is safety in numbers, former congressional staffers told the Herald.

Moulton and Lynch, who endorsed U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Ohio for House minority leader, have the buffer of 61 other colleagues who also voted for change.

But GOP strategist Ford O’Connell said the Massachusetts congressmen will have the backing of voters who want Democrats to focus more the economy and less on identity politics.

“Lynch and Moulton can go back to their districts with their heads held high because they were fighting for what their voters wanted.” O’Connell said.
