In Targeting Murkowski, Tea Party Chooses Wisely

Nate Silver has a new article complimenting the tea party on the wise decision to challenge Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK). If you hadn’t heard, Murkowski conceded this morning to tea party backed candidate Joe Miller in Alaska’s Republican primary.  Silver explains that Murkowski is by no means a liberal, but she has not always followed the party line.  He adds that those moderate tendencies in one of the most conservative states in the country made her vulnerable to a challenge from a conservative tea party candidate.
