Ford O’Connell At Politico’s Arena On Whether Mitt Romney Can Rebound From RomneyCare

There is no debating the fact that like Obamacare, Romneycare is fiscally irresponsible. If Mitt Romney wants to capture the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, he is going to have to do his best Mikhail Baryshnikov and dance around this issue with precision.

The primary difference between the two laws is that Romney’s faux legislative achievement is harmful to the commonwealth of Massachusetts, while Obamacare puts pressure on the individual states. At a time when the federal government has consistently overstepped its authority into state matters, Obamacare with its individual mandate is a legislative evil of the worst kind. Romney can certainly rebound, but he better hit the campaign trail now.
