Donald Trump Taking Hits After Megyn Kelly Dust-Up

Presidential hopeful Donald Trump’s invite to a conservative gathering was pulled yesterday amid backlash over his “blood coming out of her wherever” comments about Fox News moderator Megyn Kelly — a move that signals new and dangerous territory for the oft-offending business magnate, analysts say.

Trump slammed Kelly for her questions during the campaign’s first debate Thursday, where she grilled Trump for derogatory comments about women he’s made in the past.

When discussing Kelly’s questions Friday on CNN, Trump said, “There was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”

Popular conservative blogger Erick Erickson promptly disinvited Trump from the RedState Gathering in Atlanta yesterday, where the business mogul was set to be keynote speaker.

GOP strategist Ford O’Connell said Trump’s harsh comments about Kelly show a defensiveness that puts the candidate in a weak light.

“It shows how thin-skinned he is,” O’Connell said. “If he can’t deal with Megyn Kelly, how is he going to deal with Hillary Clinton?”
