Can Tim Pawlenty Win The 2012 GOP Presidential Nomination?

Daniels’ exit certainly benefits Team Pawlenty, given that both occupy the establishment Republican space. Tim Pawlenty’s biggest challenge is name identification – few primary voters, let alone general election voters, know who he is or what he stands for. While a good showing in the Iowa caucuses will be critical for Pawlenty, the best way for his campaign to distinguish itself in the run up to Iowa is to take on the role of being the “anti-Romney” candidate and not duck difficult issues.
